Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will provide bundle meal kits for students to have over spring break. Students will be out of school beginning April 1 and will return April 12. The meals are free for all students and anyone under 18 years of age.
Different themes will be used for the meal service. They include; South of the Border, Italian and American Classics. Each weekly bundle includes food items that can be prepared using easy to follow recipes. The 7-day bundles will also include one gallon of 1% milk.
All student meals are free through the end of this school year. Students receiving in-person instruction can get a free breakfast and a free lunch every day. Remote learners can reserve the bundle meals to pick up on Mondays or Wednesdays at select times and high school locations.
Members of the media are invited to West Forsyth High School or Parkland High School between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, April 5. Please contact Chris Runge if you are interested in covering this event at either high school.
