Jerry Rondell Davis

Mr. Jerry Rondell Davis, 81, of Advance, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Forsyth County on Aug. 3, 1940, to William Henry Davis and Vera Angell Davis. Davis was a member of Macedonia Moravian Church and attended Hillsdale United Methodist Church. Davis retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and was a member of the Farmington Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed flying as a pilot from Twin Lakes Airport, playing golf and socializing with his friends. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Margaret Riddle Davis; son, Neil Davis; nephew, Lesley M. Parks (Tammy); grandson, Robby Parks; and sisters, Kay St. Onge (Bill) and Judy Wall (James). A private graveside service was held at Macedonia Moravian Church Graveyard with Pastor Jerry Webb officiating. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Moravian Church or to Hillsdale United Methodist Church. Mayo Calvin Dull

Mr. Mayo Calvin Dull, 96, of Lewisville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at Clemmons Village II. He was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Forsyth County to the late Jacob Elisha Dull and Gertie Yates Dull. Dull was a lifelong member of Shiloh Lutheran Church. He retired with over 45 years of service from June and Garland Adams Builders. Dull loved to rabbit hunt, fishing and always had a garden that he enjoyed working in. He was preceded by his wife of 71 years, Betty Redding Dull; sisters, Helen Dull and Dovie Beroth and several half brothers and sisters and a daughter-in-law, Bette F. Dull. Surviving are his sons, Terry Dull and Phillip Dull (Amanda); and granddaughter, Chelsea E. Dull, all of Lewisville. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at Shiloh Lutheran Church in Lewisville with Rev. Laura Wind officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service and the family request you to please wear a face mask when attending. Scott Landy

Scott Landy, 50, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. Landy was born on Feb. 25, 1971, in Forsyth County. Landy was employed with Wells Fargo as a computer engineer. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS John F. Kennedy during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Landy was instrumental in bringing the game of lacrosse to Davie County. He coached from the program’s birth in 2013 until his passing. Landy is survived by his loving wife, Angela Curry Landy; children, Grace Rauen, Michael Rauen, M. Thomas Landy, and Caroline Jean Landy; parents, Michael J. Landy and Patricia Greene Landy; twin sister, Kathy Landy Dalton (Dickie); and niece, Claire Kindley. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Friday Aug. 20, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father James officiating. Muriel Beverly Luongo visitation

The Muriel Beverly Luongo visitation will be at 1 p.m., and a celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 108 East Kinderton Way in Advance. Luongo was a Clemmons resident for 42 years, and she passed away on Aug. 28, 2020. The service was delayed due to COVID-19 concerns.

Susan Morgan Washinsky

After a brave struggle, Susan Morgan Washinsky passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord at her home in Clemmons. Born in Greensboro, daughter of the late Betty and Howard Morgan of Willis, Virginia. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John, of Clemmons; son, Michael, of High Point; and sister, Lisa Morgan, of Winston-Salem. She was a 1983 Graduate of UNCG with a bachelor degree in mathematics and Spanish. She was employed as a benefits analyst for Booke & Co. and AON from 1983 until 2008, when she accepted the role of office manager for the family business, All Things Ukrainian. Washinsky was a lover of languages, fluent in Spanish, Ukrainian, Italian, German and Greek. She used her skill to help others and translated for Sunnyside Ministries in Winston-Salem, and in Guatemala for the Orthodox Christian Ministries. Washinsky was a longtime member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Choir. She was an avid reader and writer and composed poetry and fiction. She enjoyed traveling, Ukrainian art and culture, and never stopped learning. She shared her love of gardening with her son, grew beautiful flowers and tasty produce.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. George Kouzelis officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with a Trisagion service being held at 7:30 p.m. The family appreciates the valiant efforts and care of WFBH Medical Oncology and Hematology and Trellis Hospice Services.
