Paul Francis Brandle

Mr. Paul Francis Brandle, 79, of Clemmons, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1942, in Windber, Pennsylvania, to the late Edward R. Brandle Sr. and Mary Ruth Spinos Brandle. Brandle was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and college graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He served in the U.S. Navy as a second class petty officer from 1960 to 1964. Brandle had retired from the Metropolitan Police Department as sergeant in Washington, D.C., and later retired from Wachovia Bank in Winston-Salem in the Corporate Alarm Center and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by brothers, Edward R. Brandle Jr. and David R. Brandle, and sisters, Betty Ruth Phillips and Mary Alice Lehosky. Surviving is his wife, Mary Ellen Brandle; daughters, Annette Marie Brandle of Mocksville and Paulette Lynn Brandle-Young of Clemmons; grandson, Paul Edward Young of King and several nieces and nephews. He was a fun-loving, sensitive, strong and caring man. His family meant everything to him. The family will move forward with a great loss but knowing he will live in their hearts. Addie L. Williams Carter

Addie L. Williams Carter passed away on March 14, 2022. She was born on Nov. 8, 1930, to Opal Baity Latham and James Grady Latham in Davie County. A graveside service was held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2022, at Salem Moravian Graveyard (God’s Acre) with Rev. John Jackman and Rev. Christopher C. Thore officiating. Carter is preceded in death by her husband, Ted L. Williams, and second husband Ralph Carter. Surviving are her children, Bernie Williams (Kim), Kathy Barnes (Ralph), and June Council (Doug); grandchildren, Michael Doub (Amanda), Jason Council (Tanya), Michael Williams (Erika), Ashley Azmon, Kyle Doub, and Jonathan Williams; and great-grandchildren, Gavin Doub, Hallie Council, Willow Kimel, Mina Williams, Caden Doub, and Cannon Doub. Patric Philip Hamilton

Patric Philip Hamilton, 73, passed away on March 11, 2022. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Feb. 22, 1949, to the late Jacob Sharon and Vonda Anabelle Davis. His beloved father Robert W. Hamilton also precedes him in death.

He had many passions throughout his life from bird watching, to tinkering on various projects, to studying history and his Irish roots. He was an avid NPR listener and loved music, mainly “the good stuff.” It was not unusual to find him relaxing to the Eagles. He had an exceptional love for animals, and family pets would often be found napping in his lap or by his side.

Hamilton loved having discussions on a variety of topics, where his way with words and sense of humor were always on display. He never met a stranger. Above all else, he was a family man, a devoted husband and doting father and grandfather.

He was a loyal and true friend. His passion for fair treatment and social justice led him to become a leader and proud member of his local branch of the United Steelworkers. He worked with this union and retired from REXAM after 36 years.

Hamilton leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Pansy Cook Hamilton; children, Allison Hamilton, Erica Hamilton, Laura Newey (David), Ryan Hamilton, and Carrie Hamilton; grandchildren, Hailey Hamilton, Jalen Dodson, Cian Dodson, William Newey, and Emelia Newey; siblings, Michael Hamilton (Carol), Timothy Hamilton (Cindy), Loanna Hattenfield (Dave); numerous beloved nieces and nephews; best friend of 45 years Bill Charles; and dogs, Pearl, Buttons and the late Bubba.

A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home in Clemmons. The funeral was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022, at the funeral home with entombment following at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.

Louise S. Hampton

Louise S. Hampton of Clemmons died Sunday March 13, 2022 at The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Hampton was born in Pearson, Georgia, on Nov. 7, 1928, to the late Daris and Lena Saunders. She was employed by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. for 36 years retiring in 1990. She is preceded in death by her husband, E.R. “Dick” Hampton. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Sullivan (Chris). She was a longtime member of Clemmons Moravian Church where for many years she assisted in the Sunday school nursery. The greatest loves in her life were her family, reading and children. The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. A funeral service was held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Clemmons Moravian Church with Rev. Christopher C. Thore and Rev. Ray Burke officiating. Burial followed in the church graveyard. John Bruce Robbins

John Bruce Robbins was born on Feb. 1, 1950, in Forsyth County to Vernon Alexander and Margaret Elizabeth Harper Robbins. He was baptised in First Baptist Church, was a member of Advent Moravian for over 30 years and present member of RiverOaks Community Church  in Clemmons.

Robbins graduated from Parkland High School in 1968 and from Forsyth Tech Community College with an associate’s degree in business administration in 1970. He joined the Naval Reserve in 1968 and served active duty at the Naval Air Station in Bermuda. He was a corporate credit manager for McLean Trucking company until 1983. He then worked for Young Phillips and NCFI Polyurethane in Mt Airy until retirement in 2015.

Robbins was always the life of the party, funny and witty. He enjoyed coaching Little League and was an occasional golfer. He especially loved old cars, mostly Corvettes. Bruce and Teresa supported all their children and grandchildren in their activities. He loved being Santa Claus and visiting his grandchildren and their friends each Christmas morning for over 15 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Margaret Robbins and his father-in-law Billy F. Long and nephew, Eric Robbins. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Long Robbins of 51 years; children, Jennifer Fox (Kevin), Jarrett Robbins (Kelly) and Jill Robbins (Jake); and grandchildren, Brooklyn and Bailey Fox, Davis and Harper Robbins and McKenna Gibby. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Donna Sides Long; brother-in-law Terry W. Long (Susan) and by brothers Vernon (Judy), Don (Belinda), Richard (Susan) and Robert Robbins. Nieces and nephews include Lisa, Matthew, Donald, Sarah, Emily and Julie.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022, at River Oaks Community Church in Clemmons. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Anna Christine Sievers

Anna Christine Sievers, 97, died peacefully at her home on March 13, 2022. Born in 1924, Sievers was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Louis Sievers and Anna Christine Walgren, and her brothers, Charles R. Sievers and Henry L. Sievers. Sievers is survived by her nieces, Priscilla Zambor (Ron) of Southport, Lesley Hadley (Steve) of Leland, and Marianne DeCristo (Jim) of Winston-Salem; and multiple grandnieces and grandnephews. Sievers worked as a beautician for 25 years in Irvington, New Jersey, and was later employed by Epstein’s Department Store, Morristown, New Jersey, and at B. Altman’s in Short Hills, New Jersey, as a salesperson. Sievers will long be remembered for her incredibly kind nature, her willingness to help anyone and for her love of family. Her family wishes to thank the staff of Trinity Elms Assisted Living and Trinity Elms Health and Rehab in Clemmons and to Trellis Supportive Care for their dedication to excellent care, especially during the pandemic. Each staff person went above and beyond to provide joy and assistance to Sievers. Per her request, there will be no public services. Her family will celebrate her life privately.
