Each year, the Lewisville Civic Club selects three graduating high school seniors to receive a college scholarship, each in the amount of $1,500, for their Community Service and Leadership Award.
In addition to academic accomplishments, the recipients have also spent hours completing service projects in the Lewisville community.
This year’s winners are: Olivia Harper Mock, graduating from West Forsyth High School and attending North Carolina State University, majoring in business and finance; Sarina Jarrahi Horner, graduating from Forsyth Country Day School and attending UNC Chapel Hill, majoring in economics and political science; and Sophia R. Scherer, also graduating from Forsyth Country Day School and will also be attending North Carolina State University. All recipients plan to continue working with community service organizations while in college.
