Soccer team off to rocky start

The West Forsyth soccer team opened their season in the Crossroads Cup and finished the event with an 0-2-1 record.
The Titans lost to Mooresville 2-1 in their first game of the season last Monday, then tied Cox Mill 1-1 last Wednesday in a game played at home in Durwood Pack Soccer Stadium.
Josh Medel scored the goal against Mooresville and was assisted by Abiel Lopez. Lopez scored the goal against Cox Mill off an assist from Josh Brown, and Grant Tally had two saves and Logan Barker tallied four.
West lost to Providence 5-0 in the final game of the event.
The Titans will return to the field for four games this week, including playing in the Kickoff Classic in the Triangle on Friday and Saturday.
West will take on Northwest Guilford Wednesday night at home and will travel to play Mooresville on Thursday.
