Two Forsyth men have been charged with robbing Cellular Sales in Clemmons, stealing two display phones and then confronting a store employee with a weapon.

On January 31 at 6:32 p.m., the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office responded to the business of Cellular Sales, located at 2419 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, on a reported armed robbery. Employees of the business reported that a white male entered the business, cut the security wires on two display cellular phones and then fled the business. An employee of the business gave chase of the suspect detaining him in the parking lot of the business. A second suspect displaying and threatening the use of the firearm then confronted the employee demanding the employee to release the first suspect. The employee complied with the demand of the second suspect whereby both suspects fled the area.

Investigators identified the two suspects as Christopher Shane Jenkins, 31, of 504 W. Devonshire Street, Winston-Salem, and Andrew Jovanni Menjivar, 16, of 4761 Belgrove Drive, Tobaccoville.

According to the sheriff’s report, two Samsung Galaxy cell phones and a case valued at $1,080 were stolen.

On Feb. 6, Forsyth investigators charged Jenkins with one count of felonious robbery with a dangerous weapon. Jenkins, who was already in custody at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center on another matter, was served with the warrant and received an additional $160,000 secured bond. Jenkins is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27. Jenkins’ total bond is now $240,000.

Also on Feb. 6, investigators charged Menjivar with one felonious count of larceny. Menjivar was also in custody at the time of being charged. Menjivar received an additional $20,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 27. Menjivar’s total bond is now $40,000.
