Lewisville-Clemmons Young Professionals is open to young professionals aged 21 to 35, as well as those who are young at heart. The Young Professionals group is part networking and mostly social, giving opportunities to build relationships, increase value to employees/employers and develop leadership skills. Additionally, the Young Professionals Group promotes economic development within our community.
Why “Young Professionals?” It’s no secret that the future lies in the hands of our young people, and the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce is no exception. The chamber wants to provide opportunities for young people to get to know one another and strengthen their relationships for years to come. Finding a community and connecting with others locally can be difficult for many professionals who may be moving into a new area or starting a new career. Whether you’re an accountant, a banker, a small business owner or something in between, anyone is welcome to come and socialize with other young professionals.
For the meeting on Jan. 26, there was a solid turnout for the relaunch, and those who came were able to socialize, network and get to know each other in a way that they may not have been able to otherwise. The next meeting will be Feb. 23.
The event will be hosted every fourth Thursday (through October) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Foothills Brewing Tasting Room (3800 Kimwell Dr. in Winston-Salem). The tasting room is a great, relaxed spot to gather and connect. For more information, email thomas@lewisville-clemmons.com, acornatzer@fca.org, or call 336-970-5100.
