CLEMMONS — Having initiated a Pedestrian Plan study, Village of Clemmons officials are seeking input from residents who like to get out and hoof it.
The study, which will result in the first ever Pedestrian Master Plan for the village, is funded through a planning grant from the Winston-Salem Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
With additional local support, the Pedestrian Plan study will focus on enhancing the network of pedestrian and multi-use path facilities throughout the village.
Recommendations will include a variety of sidewalks, multi-use path and crossing improvements as well as policy and funding opportunities review. The study process started in February.
An online survey will be open through July 16 to let city officials know where there are safety concerns and where additional pedestrian improvements are needed.
