William Lee Munsie

Mr. William Lee Munsie, 84, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at his home. He was born in Piedmont, W.V., on July 5, 1939, to the late Norris Lee and Sarah Swan Munsie. Munsie was a member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a die-hard Alabama football fan and being an engineer, was always trying to seek and understand the meaning of things. Munsie was a hard worker and a selfless, amazing husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Carolee Killian Munsie; daughter, Lisa M. Stephens (William); son, Ian Scott Munsie (Angela); grandchildren, Olivia Stephens, Ivy Stephens, Haley Munsie and Madeline Munsie; brother, Gregory Michael Munsie; sister, Sharon Munsie; also surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Laurie Killian Bolt and Mark and Patty Killian. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Mendenhall, Rev. Randy Perdue and Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at White Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 3335 White Hill Rd. Sanford, NC 27332. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, 5041 Styers Ferry Road, Lewisville, NC 27023. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
