The Shallow Ford Foundation, the community foundation serving Clemmons, Lewisville, Yadkin County, and northern Davidson County, currently has two opportunities for grant funding for organizations working in Lewisville and Clemmons.

Grants of up to $10,000 are competitively awarded to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that seek to create transformative, long-term and tangible solutions for community needs and interests in Lewisville and Clemmons.

The grant application deadline is Thursday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m.

In addition, grants for up to $2,500 are available for nonprofits to provide affordable and accessible programming during the fall of 2023 and winter of 2024 at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center

Proposed programs should aim to enhance the lives of residents in the Lewisville-Clemmons community; high priority is given to programs suited to older adults and to meaningfully addressing children’s needs. Nonprofit applicants do not need to be based in Lewisville or Clemmons, but must be willing to provide programming on-site. This opportunity is made possible by a gift from the Emily Millis-Hiatt Fund of the High Point Community Foundation.

That grant application deadline is Friday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m.

Online applications for both funding opportunities can be found at https://www.shallowfordfoundation.org, click on the “Apply” button.

The foundation is based in Clemmons and manages charitable named funds established by local residents during their lives or as part of their estate planning. These named funds have awarded more than $2.5 million in grants and scholarships since 2012.
