STEAM for Teens and Tweens

Builders’ Club

The Lewisville Branch Builders’ Club meets the third Wednesday of every month. Bring your creative building skills and come play. The library will have many building supplies, including LEGOs, K’Nex and more. All ages welcome.

Dungeons & Dragons Meetup Group

Ages 13-17 recommended, but all are welcome. Have you ever wanted to learn to play Dungeons & Dragons? Are you an experienced player who would like a place to meet up and have adventures? Join the Lewisville Branch Dungeons & Dragons meetup group. The library will have an experienced Game Master to teach those who want to learn, and character sheets and dice will be provided.
Chess Club

Books for Dudes Book Club

Are you a dude who likes to read? Are you a dude who is curious what other dudes are reading? Are you a dude who wants to get back into reading, but doesn’t know where to start? Then the Lewisville Branch Library has the perfect book club for you. Join in as dudes share, discuss and recommend their favorite books to other dudes. There will not be a pre-set reading list. The group is recommended for dudes, but all are welcome.
Color and Coffee

Color and Coffee is a morning to relax, color, be with others and enjoy a cup of coffee on the house. Coloring sheets, colored pencils and coffee will be available for participants.
Welcome to Gardening in North Carolina
- Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 2-3 p.m.
Each region of the country has unique characteristics that make gardening interesting. If you are new to North Carolina gardening, come learn the challenges and rewards of growing in the Tarheel State from Betty Ann Falkner, a long-time gardener and the owner of SereneScapes Gardens. Eldercare Series: Emotional Wellness
- Saturday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Lewisville Branch Library and the Geriatric Adult Specialty Team of Partners Health Management continue their series of eldercare programs. This session looks at social isolation, depression, health challenges and other issues affecting the well-being of older adults. It offers several strategies for managing your mood and perspective. The session includes interactive activities as well as take-home worksheets and a list of local resources for help. Registration is requested. To register or for more information, call 336-703-2940.
Witchy Washi and Whatnot Crafts

Our monthly Witchy Washy and Whatnot Craft group is a great place to meet other crafters and learn to make all sorts of fun projects, many of which include the use of washi tape. Space and supplies are limited to first 12 registrants, so call the branch (336-703-2940) to reserve your spot.

Lewisville Branch 2024 Reading Contest

Take part in our yearlong reading contest for your chance to win a $25 gift card to Bookmarks bookstore. The contest has two levels: Beginner and Aficionado. You can choose to read one or both challenges. Beginner entries are entered once. Aficionado entries are entered twice, and if participants complete both, they are entered four times to win. Submit entries by Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024. The winner will be announced on Monday, Dec. 16.
