WINSTON-SALEM — In a bid to support and nurture future talent in the trades, the Shallow Ford Foundation presented tool kits to nine exceptional students from the electrical, HVAC and plumbing programs. The initiative, which took place in April, underscores the foundation’s commitment to empowering the next generation of skilled professionals.
Each of the selected students received a tool kit valued at $600, designed to enhance their ability to perform in their respective fields. This provision will equip these new professionals with the tools they need to succeed and innovate in their careers.
“We are so grateful to the Shallow Ford Foundation for their generosity towards supporting our extraordinary students,” said Dr. Janet Spriggs, president of Forsyth Tech. “We’ve empowered our students with essential real-world skills, and the Shallow Ford Foundation has now provided them with the tools they need to thrive.”
The recipients, three from each of the electrical, HVAC and plumbing programs, were chosen based on their academic excellence, practical skills and dedication to their field of study. The tool kits include a range of industry-standard equipment, ensuring that students can continue their education and enter the workforce with confidence.
