Youth programs

  • Story times: Join in for books, finger plays, songs and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers in the story time room. Story time is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., followed by a repeat performance at 10:30 a.m., and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. 
  • Preschool Craft Time: The fun continues on Thursdays after story time to make a craft together at 11:30 a.m. 
  • Music and Movement: Join in for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies. Takes place every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
  • Music With Jon Sundell: On June 11 at 1 p.m. children of all ages and their families are invited to the Clemmons Branch Library for a presentation of folk music, folk stories and balloon animals.
  • Theatre Games for Kids: Children ages 6-11 are invited to the Clemmons Branch Library on Tuesday, June 17, at 1 p.m. to join the Little Theatre of Winston-Salem for interactive games.
  • Intro to Acting for Teens: The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem will teach basic theatrical techniques on June 17 at 2 p.m.  For ages 12-18.
  • Adventures with Animals: Explore the wonders of wildlife with the North Carolina Zoo on June 18 at 1 p.m.
  • Pokemon Club: Join in on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. to learn about and play Pokemon games. Cards will be provided or you can bring your own. For ages grade school through teens. The next meeting will be on June 19.
  • Chess Club: Grade school students, tweens, teens, and their families are invited to play chess and other board games once a month at the library. The next session will be on June 25 at 4 p.m.
  • STEAM Crafts for Kids: On Wednesday, June 26 at 4 p.m. make a tie-dye craft using coffee filters. For ages 4-13.
  • Clemmons Fire Department: On Thursday, June 27 at 2 p.m. the Clemmons Fire Department will stop by to show and explain their equipment and discuss fire safety.

Adult programs

  • Moon to Mars: Solar System Ambassador Annette Horsley will be at the Clemmons Branch Library on Friday, June 28 at 10 a.m. to discuss NASA’s Artemis program and its goal to build a colony on the moon to facilitate travel to Mars.
  • Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and a copy will be made for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The next meeting will be on June 19 and the theme will be a picnic.
  • Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join in for a group book discussion each month. On July 1, the club will discuss “The Six” by Loren Grush.
