CLEMMONS — Work began this week on Clemmons’ main thoroughfare that will reduce the roadway to a single lane through the end of next week.
According to a press release from Winston-Salem Public Utilities Information Officer Gale Ketteler, a contractor began conducting cleaning and inspection of the wastewater system on Lewisville Clemmons Road between Village Brook Trail and Towncenter Drive in Clemmons on Monday.
The work is scheduled to occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is expected to be completed by Aug. 9, weather permitting.
During the project, a single lane will be closed for brief periods. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control and motorists are encouraged to plan for alternate routes.
