On Sunday around 200 members of Lewisville United Methodist Church left the pews for their third annual Servant Day. With service projects for all ages and abilities, the congregation worshiped through acts of kindness, putting their faith in action on the Sunday closest to the Sept. 11 National Day of Service.
Members of the church fanned out through the community, partnering with groups like the Town of Lewisville, Lewisville Community Assistance Program (LCAP), Lewisville Community Garden, Vienna Village, Shepherd’s Center, Sunnyside Ministry, World Relief Triad, Open Arms Community, Ronald McDonald House, Project Buddy Bears of NC and more.
