Live ’60s, ’70s, ’80s classic hits in Clemmons this Sunday

CLEMMONS — The Shallow Ford Foundation launches this year’s Bingham Arts Series with a free outdoor music event on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 3- 4:30 p.m. featuring the Fabulous Flashbacks.

The 5-piece band will perform classic hits from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s on the Dock at Historic Broyhill in Clemmons.

This talented, fun-loving group has delighted audiences in the Piedmont Triad area with nostalgic tunes for more than 10 years. Their energetic spirits and love for music is evident in every performance, creating a lively atmosphere that will make you want to dance and sing along — and you can.

Get ready to enjoy classic tracks like “My Girl” by the Temptations, “Chain of Fools” by Aretha Franklin, “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison, “Lights” by Journey and more.

Band members include: Mary Riddell (lead vocalist); Earl Austin (keyboard and vocals); Keith Lewis (drums); Mike Hughes (bass and vocals); and Chris Williams (guitarist and vocalist). Be sure to come out for this afternoon of music, community, and fun for all ages.

The Dock at Historic Broyhill is an outdoor, converted loading dock behind the Historic Broyhill building. Attendees should bring lawn chairs and other items needed for outdoor comfort (sunglasses, bug spray). Limited parking is available on the Historic Broyhill campus, so carpooling is recommended.
