The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Clemmons’ own Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough Jr. has been honored with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteer Service. That recognition reflects Kimbrough’s commitment to community service throughout his four-decade career in law enforcement.

Elected in 2018, Kimbrough has profoundly impacted the Forsyth County community. His leadership has strengthened initiatives like Surviving the Shield, which supports deputies’ mental health, and has enhanced law enforcement education through partnerships such as the Law Enforcement School of Executive Leadership at Wake Forest University.

The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award is a highly esteemed recognition, reserved for individuals who have dedicated more than 4,000 hours of volunteer service throughout their lifetime. Kimbrough’s service, which extends beyond law enforcement, is a testament to his lifelong commitment to uplifting others and fostering unity in the community.
