Youth programs
- Story times: Join in for great books, finger plays, songs and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers in the story time room. Story time is on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., followed by a repeat performance at 10:30 a.m., and on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
- Preschool Craft Time: The fun continues on Thursdays after story time to make a craft together at 11:30 a.m.
- Music and Movement: Join in for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies. Takes place every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
- Tasty Treats for Teens: Are you interested in improving your cooking skills? Are you hungry? Then come to Clemmons Branch Library for Tasty Treats for Teens with Chef Floyd, where you will learn how to make delicious and nutritious snacks. On Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. he will be demonstrating vegetarian pizza. For ages 12-18. To register, visit or call the Clemmons Branch Library at 336-703-2920.
- Pokemon Club: Join in on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. to learn about and play Pokemon games. Cards will be provided or you can bring your own. For ages grade school through teens. The next meeting will be on Nov. 20.
- STEAM Crafts for Kids: On Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. we will be doing a kinetic sand craft. For ages 4-13.
All ages programs
- Chess Enrichment with Coach Tony: Join us on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10:30 a.m. for a free chess workshop for anyone who wants to learn chess strategies from a professional player. All ages are welcome. Visit or call the Clemmons Branch Library at 336-703-2920 to register.
- Chess Club: Second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. Improve your game by playing chess with other club members. Beginners and experienced chess players of all ages are welcome. The next meeting will be on Nov. 26.
Adult programs
- Ukulele Circle: Come listen to lively ukulele music performed by the Ukulele Circle on Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. Performers of all levels are welcomed to participate in the jam session and listeners of all ages are invited to a wonderful musical experience.
- Clemmons Cookbook Club: Every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and a copy will be made for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The next meeting will be on Nov. 20 and the theme will be Recipes from the Harvest.
- Book Lovers’ Club: First Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join in for a group book discussion each month. On Dec. 2, the club will discuss “Adventures of James” by Percival Everett.
