Representative Jeff Zenger, District 74, of the North Carolina House of Representatives took the oath of office on Jan. 8, to officially begin his service in the 2025-2026 legislative session.
“This solemn and significant ceremony marks the start of a new chapter for returning and newly elected members alike as they commit to serving the people of North Carolina with dedication and integrity,” said a release from Zenger’s legislative assistant, Penny Jordan.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in the House Chamber, where members gathered with their families and loved ones to celebrate the occasion.
The oath of office, administered by newly installed Speaker of the House Destin Hall, underscores the “importance of upholding the laws and constitution of the state,” the release noted, adding that the “members of the House will now turn their focus to legislative priorities that aim to address the various challenges facing North Carolina’s communities.”
