Closings and delays

• The Village Point Lake Greenway Pier is currently closed. Fishing along the banks will be allowed temporarily.

Events

• Coffee with a Cop will be held Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Chick-Fil-A Clemmons, from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
• February is Neighbors Helping Neighbors month in the village of Clemmons. During this month, the village focuses on partnering with our local businesses, organizations and community members to collect food items and funds for the Clemmons Food Pantry. More information on how you can help coming soon. If you are a business or organization and would like to host a coin collection jar for February, email lfox@clemmons.org

Farmers market

• Applications for the 2025 Clemmons Farmers Market season are now available. It can be found on clemmons.org, as well as linked on all village social media sites.

Employment

• The Village of Clemmons currently has job opportunities available. Find out more at clemmons.org/jobs. Current openings include public works equipment operator and landscape technician.

Meetings

• The regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of village hall, located at 3715 Clemmons Road, Clemmons.
• The regularly scheduled planning board meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. in council chambers, located at 3715 Clemmons Road, Clemmons.

Public works

• The last leaf collection of the season will begin on Jan. 27 (weather permitting). This will be the last pass through the village until the fall. Any updates will be posted on the website at clemmons.org/leaves. It is not possible to specify an exact day of the week for pickup due to volume and weather.
• To assist with additional waste, recycling, and cardboard, Clemmons’ citizens are invited to bring their excess to the Public Works facility between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (except holidays).

Spring 2025 bulk item pickup

• The 2025 Spring Bulk item pickup will begin on Monday, March 16, for residents on the west side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road. Bulk item pickup for residents on the east side of Lewisville-Clemmons Road will begin on Monday the week of March 23.

Stormwater

• Staff will be completing drainage outfall inspections throughout the village of Clemmons as part of the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s NPDES Phase II permit throughout the months of December – April 2025 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather depending). Activities may include visual observations, photography, creek walking and water quality sampling, primarily at drainage pipe outlets into ditches and water bodies. All Stormwater personnel will be wearing reflective vests, driving marked vehicles, and carrying identification.
