Donald Eugene Minton

LEWISVILLE — Mr. Donald Eugene Minton, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at his home in Lewisville. He was born Dec. 18, 1946, in Wilkesboro, to the late Ralph and Florence Minton. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 18 and was primarily stationed in Fort Benning, Ga. He was honorably discharged in 1966. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a dedicated and longtime employee at Clondalkin (formerly Pharmagraphics) in Greensboro. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Naomi “Amy” Minton and his siblings, Roy Minton, Leonard Minton, Roger Minton and Joyce Ann Atkins. His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, Beth Nifong of Lewisville and Monica Dawn Brock of Clemmons; his grandchildren, Christopher Minton (Ally) of Pfafftown and Cheyanne Culler of Clemmons; his great-grandchild, Madelyn Minton of Pfafftown; as well as sisters: Patricia Luna (Efrain) and Reba Sanders (Frank) of Moravian Falls; sister-in-law, Shirley Minton of Hays; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service with veteran honors was held Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Clemmons with Pastor Loyd Taylor, Sr. officiating.

 

Joseph William Everhardt

CLEMMONS — Mr. Joseph William Everhardt Jr., 71, of Clemmons passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 13, 1947, in Davie County to Joseph William and Lena Ball Everhardt. Mr. Everhardt joined the U.S. Army Reserve in 1970 and served with the 991st Transportation Company in Salisbury until receiving an honorable discharge in 1976. He graduated from East Carolina University and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company as a director of financial services with 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Mary Jane Everhardt of the home; his mother, Lena Ball Everhardt Parker of Mocksville; a son, Michael Everhardt and wife Liza of Wrightsville Beach; a daughter, Beth LaPorte and husband Scott of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and Catherine Everhardt and Owen and Joseph LaPorte; a brother, Donnie Everhardt and wife Tanis and a sister, Marcie Bean and husband Kenneth. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Clemmons United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Dr. G. Robert DiMarco

Dr. G. Robert DiMarco, 91, of Lewisville passed away on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on July 31, 1927, in Camden, N.J. to Luigi and Carmella D’Andrea DiMarco. Dr. DiMarco was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church since 1982. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army. He was awarded Young Man of the Year in 1962 in S. Brunswick, N.J. and was president of the board of education in S. Brunswick, N.J. Dr. DiMarco earned his PhD from Rutgers University and eventually became the chairman of the food science department. He was director of R&D at General Foods in White Plains, N.Y. and retired as senior vice president of R&D at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Dr. DiMarco was awarded the Rutgers Medal in 2004. He volunteered at Samaritan Soup Kitchen, Catholic Social Services, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Almost Home Ministry. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Reggimenti. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Mary DiMarco; five children, Ann Marie DiMarco and husband Joseph Donovan, Lynn Mary Memoli and husband Michael, Robert Louis DiMarco and wife Dorte Jensen; Diane Maria DiMarco and husband Michael Heyman, David Michael DiMarco and wife LouAnn; seven grandchildren, Gabriella Melson and husband Jack, Louise, Mackenzie, McCall, and Kelsey DiMarco, Anna and Katherine Memoli; two sisters, Christine Pallante and Rose Kreps; one brother, Louis DiMarco; several nieces and nephews. Michael (Mike) William Beauchamp

Michael (Mike) William Beauchamp, 75, went home to be with our Lord, Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018. He was born Dec. 18, 1942 in Lewisville to the late John Steve Beauchamp and Sallie Phelps Beauchamp. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son M. Kevin Beauchamp and siblings Ruth Norman, Naomi Norman, Lucy Spaugh, Walter Beauchamp, Odell Beauchamp and Allen Beauchamp. Mike is survived by his wife of 53 years, Miriam Brewer Beauchamp; one son William Dennis Beauchamp (Adrienne); three grandchildren, Parker Maxwell Beauchamp, William Dennis Beauchamp, Jr., and Maggie Grace Beauchamp; daughter-in-law Julie McLamb Beauchamp; siblings Bernice Mabe (Conrad) and Clarence Beauchamp (Jean); and sister-in-law Donna Beauchamp. Following his graduation as president at Southwest High School Class of 1961, Mike graduated from UNC-Greensboro and began a career at L.A Reynolds Paving Company. In 1977, he and two business partners, Leonard W. Tilson and John R. Reynolds bought L.A. Reynolds Landscaping and established one of the preeminent garden retail stores in the area. In the early ’90s, the partnership sold the business and Mike went to work for Budd Seed, where he remained until his retirement in 2005. Mike was a lifelong member of Sharon United Methodist Church and served in many capacities. Mike suffered through over ten years of dementia at home before going to the loving care of The Almost Home — Clinard House in Thomasville. A celebration of Mike’s life was held Thursday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at Sharon United Methodist Church in Lewisville. Visitation followed the graveside burial. Hazel White Bailey

CLEMMONS — Mrs. Hazel White Bailey, 103, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at Arbor Acres. She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Davie County to the late James Franklin and Ossie Tutterow White. Mrs. Bailey attended Shacktown Church of Christ while her health permitted. She graduated High School in Davie County. Her interest included, sewing, quilting, crocheting, needlepoint and collecting antiques. She learned to make pottery in her 90s and the most important things to her were her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Dalton Bailey and two grandsons, Terry Alton Booe and Jody Cope. Surviving are two daughters; Carolyn Bailey Griffith and Frankie Lynn Cope and husband Bobby; one son, Walter Douglas Bailey and wife Margie; two grandsons, Michael Booe and Jonathan Cope; nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at Boyers Chapel Church of Christ by Mr. Wayne Bailey, Minister. Jerry Don Brinegar

Mr. Jerry Don Brinegar, Sr., 80, of Lewisville, went home to his Savior and friend Jesus Christ on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018. He was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Forsyth County to Mayme Dowell Brinegar and Don Orton Brinegar. Mr. Brinegar was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. He retired from Time Warner Cable and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Tuttle Brinegar. Surviving are his daughter, Teri Brinegar; his son, Jerry Don “Donnie” Brinegar, Jr. (Tanya); four grandchildren, Meredith Summey (Scott), Matthew Brinegar, Alyssa Emerson and Alie Brinegar; one sister, Vicki Brinegar VanBuren and four nephews, Craig, Brett, Scott and Derek Jones. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Forsyth Memorial Park with Dr. Guy Hipp officiating. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church.
