The month of February is a tough one for high school students across Forsyth County. With no vacation days, February can feel like a an exhausting marathon, in which students are struggling to finish. But, never fear, because spring break and prom are just around the corner! In the meantime, here’s what’s happening at West right now.
The Titan Talent Show was Tuesday, and students and parents alike packed the PAC to witness a star-studded night of entertainment. The show featured acts from both staff and students.
The 2019-2020 registration season is here! Students who do not have a second semester math class at West Forsyth should go to Student Services and pick up a registration packet as soon as possible. These students will also need to make an appointment with their guidance counselors to complete their registration cards.
Senior mid-year transcripts are now ready and can be requested for collegiate and scholarship purposes. A student’s first two transcripts are free; however, each transcript after that costs $2. Transcripts will be mailed to the desired destination within 48 hours of a request.
Juniors and seniors who are interested in joining the military can take the ASVAB Wednesday, April 24, at West Forsyth free of charge. The ASVAB is an aptitude test that is required before entering the military. The test is also open to those who are not considering the military. Sophomores may take the test; however, a score received prior to a student’s junior year will not be considered valid for military purposes.
