It’s the season of love at West Forsyth, and with this comes fun Valentine’s Day activities. On Friday, stems of roses will be delivered to students in their first-period classes from a Student Government Association (SGA)-sponsored sale. A Valentine’s Day issue of the West Forsyth Zephyr will also be passed out during all four lunches on Friday, including love messages from students and faculty. See a Zephyr representative to get a copy. Let’s see what else the Titans are up to this week.
Last week, the honor graduate list and the junior marshal list were posted in Student Services. Honor graduates are recognized for representing the top 10 percent of their class as of the end of first semester. Junior marshals represent the top five percent of their class as of the end of first semester as well. Congratulations to all these hard-working Titans!
Spring sports tryouts are underway. Athletes, remember to pick up your wristband indicating your eligibility to tryout. Boys and girls track and field should get their wristbands Friday from 8-8:45 a.m.
With prom just a couple months away on April 4, West has once again opened their prom closet. The prom closet sells brand new and gently used dresses, shoes, bags, and other attire all for $50 or less. Check them out to get great deals on stylish attire and accessories this year.
On Tuesday, Feb. 18, a representative from UNC-Charlotte will be visiting West’s campus during all four lunches in the café lobby. Located in North Carolina’s largest city, UNC-Charlotte is known for its information technology, business, and architecture programs. Be sure to stop by their table.
Go Titans!
