Daniel Ray Boles

Daniel Ray Boles (Danny), 54, of Winston-Salem, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, as the result of a tragic accident near his home. He was born June 14, 1965, to Tony Ray Boles and Nancy Peck Boles. He is survived by his father and mother, sister Terri Boles Matthews (Steve), brothers Michael Boles (Sonya) and Rodney Boles (Randi), sons Nicholas Boles (Jessica) and Spencer Boles, daughters Annie Boles and Savannah Boles, grandchildren Kaylee, Lawson, and Paisley, nephew Patrick, nieces Brandi, Beth Ann, Samantha, and Bunni, two great-nephews, many uncles, aunts, cousins, loving partner Sharon Sharp, and his beloved dog Rhea.

Danny grew up in Lewisville, graduated from West Forsyth High School, and was employed by Gwyn Electrical Plumbing Heating and Cooling as a commercial sales and project manager. His passion was cross country motorcycling, riding and competing. He was of Baptist faith. He never met a stranger, always had a beautiful smile, and was a master at everything he set his mind to do. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Family received friends for the viewing on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at EternaCare, 2500 Neudorf Road in Clemmons.  Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at Woodland Baptist Church, 1175 Bethania Rural Hall Road in Winston-Salem with the Rev. Tim Gammons officiating.

The family would like to express their deep and sincere appreciation to EternaCare for it’s kindness and the gentle loving thought they put into preparing Danny for the viewing and the care and concern shown by David Reece and the entire staff from the moment of receiving Danny into their arms until after the funeral on Feb. 6, as well as to Woodland Baptist Church for the beautifully orchestrated meaningful and touching funeral service as the family paid their final tribute to Danny. The love and prayers from friends and family will remain in their hearts always as they deal with the days ahead.  Thank you all so much for everything.

Robert ‘Bob’ J. Carinci

Robert “Bob” J. Carinci. 76, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Feb. 3. 2020, with his wife by his side. Carinci was born March 29, 1943, in Dearborn, Michigan, to the late Vito and Mary Mizzoni Carinci. He served in the United States Army and was so proud of his country as a veteran. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons for seven years. Bob volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Clemmons Food Pantry.

He was the previous owner of Carinci’s Beer Stein + Wine and Carinci’s Deli + Cones in Michigan along with being a top-notch salesman.

Bob loved his family, cooking, and exploring beautiful North Carolina. His personality was larger than life.

Survivors included his wife, Glenda Carinci; sister,Anila Marchelletta; daughters, Lisa Ferguson (Alan) and Tracy Carinci (Matt Zeunen); grandchildren Kevin, Katelyn, Kody, Swiercz. Royce, and Cole Ferguson; and great-grandchild, Bently Benson Swiercz.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 20, 2020, at Holy Family Catholic Church with a light lunch to follow. This will be a celebration of Bob’s life.

Joyce A. Gullett

Joyce A. Gullett, 67, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at Shallowford Baptist Church. The family received friends from 11-11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment followed in church cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the physicians and nurses at Forsyth Medical Center.
