Since last Friday, the Titans have taken some time off from e-learning for spring break. They will continue to enjoy this time away from their computer screens until Monday, when online learning and preparation for AP exams kicks into high gear.
Many students are using this unconventional spring break to exercise, relax, and pick up new hobbies such as baking, creating art, and learning new things. Let’s see what else the Titans are up to.
Last week, WS/FCS released its decision regarding grading for the senior class. This new policy allows seniors to receive a pass or fail for their courses based on their grades as of March 13. If students have fulfilled all of their requirements they will receive a notice of their graduation status on April 27. Students who have fails will be allowed to continue e-learning and be given resources to receive a pass. Seniors taking AP exams are encouraged to continue their e-learning until the exams are over.
Seniors who are in Occupational Courses of Study (OCS) will receive a pass if they have completed 157 of their 225 “paid work hours” that go towards their graduation requirements.
Graduation for West is currently still scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, however; the county is keeping up to date with the COVID-19 situation and will plan accordingly.
Happy spring break, and as always, go Titans!
