For many senior Titans last week, bittersweet news was received. On Monday, April 27, all seniors passing their courses as of March 13 should have gotten an email notifying them of their fulfillment of graduation requirements. For many seniors, this met with a flurry of conflicting emotions.
“I went to pick up my cap and gown today which was an emotional experience for me realizing that I would never walk the halls again as a student. While these unprecedented times have been odd as a senior, I’m proud of the work I’ve done over the past four years,” said senior Grace Bell.
Congratulations to all of these hard-working seniors. Let’s see what else the Titans have been up to.
On Tuesday, April 28, West in tandem with Jostens gave out cap and gown orders for seniors in a drive-thru style. Remember that these orders did not include honors graduate tassels, National Honor Society cords, or yearbooks. Also, be sure to hang up gowns to get wrinkles out and avoid ironing.
AP exams will be taken over a two-week period from Monday, May 11, to Friday, May 22. These exams will be largely essay-based and taken over a 45-minute period. Students preparing for these exams can access Collegeboard’s virtual review materials on their website and are strongly advised to keep up with assignments given out by teachers.
Go Titans!
