Wilma Clodfelter Tesh

Mrs. Wilma Clodfelter Tesh, 78, died June 1, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born October 27, 1935 in Davidson County to the late Elwood C. and Florence W. Clodfelter. She lived on Enterprise Road in Davidson County before moving to Clemmons in the year 2000. She graduated from North Davidson Senior High School in 1953, the first graduating class in the new high school. She was employed at Standard Savings & Loan Association and later was a homemaker to raise her family. She worked part time at Davidson County Board of Elections. She served as Registrar or Judge of the Arcadia Precinct for over 25 years. She was a past member of the Arcadia Extension Homemakers Club and Arcadia Grange. She grew up as a member of Mt. Olivet Methodist Church. Later she joined her husband as an active member of Enterprise Moravian Church serving as church treasurer for 26 years. She was currently a member of Clemmons Moravian Church. She loved to travel and she and her husband traveled constantly which she missed so much in her years of sickness. Switzerland was her favorite trip. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne E. Clodfelter. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, David A. Tesh; two daughters and son-in-laws, Debbie and David Basham of Clemmons and Tammy and Todd Naylor of Mocksville; four precious grandchildren, Jamie and Michael Basham, and Luke and Austin Naylor. A sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Max Vanpelt of Hampton, VA; a sister-in-law, Frances K. Clodfelter of Lexington and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 7:00pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Clemmons Moravian Church with the Rev. Q. Ray Burke officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm prior to the service in the church.
