There have been 55 new cases and one death reported since yesterday’s briefing. There have been 8,319 laboratory-confirmed cases and 115 deaths in Forsyth County. All cases reported by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health are Forsyth County residents. Of the 8,319, 7,288 are presumed recovered. The case count is subject to change throughout the day but will only be reported once per day in the daily briefing.
The public health director will provide a detailed briefing at 2 p.m. at the beginning of the Oct. 29 board of county commissioners meeting, which will be conducted remotely. The public can listen to and watch the meeting on WSTV-13 or go to https://www.cityofws.org/493/WSTV-13
